PRINCE GEORGE — With only four games remaining in the season, the final stretch for the UNBC Timberwolves will be an important one.

This past weekend was a good start as the Timberwolves traveled to Kamloops to square off against the TRU Wolfpack. Overall it was a very positive weekend for TWolves basketball with the women sweeping their series and the men splitting the weekend.

For the women, it’s the 2nd time they’ve swept a team this season after taking care of business against MacEwan earlier in the year. With all four of their wins coming via sweep. With wins against the Wolfpack, it puts a playoff spot within reach.

For the men, they have struggled a bit more in the 2nd half of the year dropping a couple of games to teams below .500. However this weekend also gave plenty of positives to take away, including going back and forth with TRU in an exciting OT win led by Guard Justin Sunga

The final games left on the schedule include Trinity Western and Saskatchewan with both Timberwolf teams looking to close out the season strong and make the postseason.
