In addition, anyone wearing the shirt to the UNBC Timberwolves Black Heritage games on Friday, February 9, against the Saskatchewan Huskies will receive free admission for both games.

“It’s a very special honour to wear this shirt,” said Tyrell Laing, the all-time leading scorer for UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball. “There are black athletes at UNBC that have accomplished special things and being able to have the shirt to honour Black History Month and to respect a lot of the sacrifices that have taken place throughout history, along with Black Heritage Night is very exciting for the community here.”
