QUESNEL, B.C. — A search warrant led to the seizure of manufactured guns and firearm parts north of Quesnel.

At around 7:30 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 15), Quesnel RCMP say police searched a property on the 4000-block of Ten Mile Lake Road where officers seized 3D printers and other accessories used in creating guns.

“It is illegal to manufacture firearms and to possess or access computer data that can be used with a 3D printer to manufacture firearms,” Sgt. Clay Kronebusch says. “These manufactured firearms have the potential to pose a great risk to the public and police.”

A 26-year-old man was arrested but has since been released. RCMP say the results of the investigation will be sent to the BC Prosecution Service to determine appropriate charges.
