DUNCAN B.C. — A seven goal second period provided all the offense in 4-3 Cowichan Valley Capitals win over the Spruce Kings last night in Duncan.

After playing to a scoreless first frame, the gates burst open with the Capitals scoring three times in just over four minutes, with markers coming from Dryden Kuramoto, and a pair from Gavin Giesbrecht.

Just over 30 seconds after the third Cowichan goal, Prince George would respond with Skogen Schrott, and less than a minute later KR Perdion.

The frantic action would persist with Brock Cummings netting the eventual winner 24 seconds later, before Jared Landon fired one home 45 seconds after that to cut the lead to one. All seven goals coming in a span of 6:47 in the middle stanza.
