Westwood Elementary leads the annual Pink Shirt event to take a stand against bullying
PRINCE GEORGE – In District 57, students participate in Pink Shirt Day by wearing a pink shirt or flaunting the pink colour as a symbol of their support for the cause against bullying. This day intends to create awareness and encourage people to stand up against bullying.
A group of students from Westwood Elementary donned pink shirts to spearhead the school’s annual Pink Shirt event, aimed at uniting and demonstrating their stance against bullying. These students lead the charge by showing solidarity and support for the cause.
Pink Shirt Day began in a Nova Scotia high school to support a fellow student who was bullied for wearing a pink shirt.
