Scammers impersonating Northern Health staff

PRINCE GEORGE — A scam is making the rounds and Northern Health (NH) wants you to be aware of it to avoid becoming a victim.
In a social media post, NH says they have become aware of several instances of fraudulent phone calls claiming to be from Northern Health staff.
“Call recipients are told they have won a prize or a free home safety inspection,” says the post. “NH is advising any business or individual who receives an email or phone call claiming affiliation with Northern Health to carefully check the origin of such solicitations before providing any personal information (home address, banking information, etc.) or making any purchases or donations.”
NH adds that if in doubt, to reach out to them to make sure the call is legitimate.
