Exposure likely the cause of death at corner of Highway 97 and Highway 16

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP say one person has died, likely due to exposure to the elements, at the corner of Highway 97 and Highway 16.

The body was discovered shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday, February 4.

“Our preliminary investigation has not revealed anything suspicious in nature; we will continue to work closely with the B.C. Coroner’s Service, who will take conduct of the investigation from this point,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media relations officer for the Prince George RCMP.

She adds that the investigation is still in its early stages.
