Inaugural Tour de North golf tournament set for Sunday
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP say they’re all ‘fore’ supporting the upcoming Cops for Cancer Tour de North.
That will be on full display this Sunday (June 8) when they co-host a charity golf tournament with Cops for Cancer Tour de North at Alders Hill Golf Course starting at 9 a.m.
Mounties say the tournament is being held to help raise funds for this year’s team of riders, who will be setting off from Prince George on September 12, on a seven-day journey that will see them cover over 700 kilometres by bike.
Proceeds will go towards Camp Goodtimes, a place where kids with cancer can have fun, accomplish their goals and thrive amongst their peers.
