PRINCE GEORGE — The UNBC Timberwolves Soccer teams were back in action on Saturday in Canada West Action around the province.

The women were in the provincial capital battling the UVIC Vikes, and eventually falling 4-1.

Grace Barrett would bulge the twine for UNBC in the loss, her first career Canada West goal.

Still in search of their first win of the season, the TWolves return home next weekend for a doubleheader against the Trinity Western Spartans.

Meanwhile the men’s squad was at home facing the UFV Cascades.

After falling behind 2-0, the TWolves found a spark in the second half with James Jordan scoring his first of the season to get the home side back within a goal. But that is as close as they would come, falling 2-1.

The men are now entering a bye week, they are back on the pitch on October 11 in Kelowna versus UBCO.
