Spruce Kings take 3-2 Game 1 win

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings earned a 3-2 win over the Chilliwack Chiefs in Game 1 on Friday night (April 17) at Kopar Memorial Arena.

The Chiefs got off to a strong start, earning a pair of goals at the 9:22 and 11:08 marks in the first period, securing a 2-0 lead in the game.

However, the Spruce Kings came back with a vengeance as Centre Carter Hesselgrave earned the opening goal for the team during power play in the second period.

Just 39 seconds into the third period, Spruce Kings Defenseman Ozbej Rep scored another powerplay goal to tie up the game.
