Single lane traffic on Giscome Road Thursday

PRINCE GEORGE, BC- Traffic will be only one lane tomorrow for most of the day out on Giscome Road (May 7). The single lane operation will be in affect from 8 a.m to 5 p.m and motorists are asked to follow posted signage and use caution within the designated area.

The City announced the construction site this morning, as they plan to repair and install new main water valves. Approximately 180 homes on will be without water during the work period, including properties along Giscome Road at Sommerville Road, Sommerville Road, McLaren Road E and W, Evasko Road, and 6 Mile Lake Road. Properties affected by water shutoffs will be notified in advance.”

For the residents near but not in range of the construction zone, the city states “Nearby properties may experience temporary changes in water pressure or sediment. The water is safe to drink, and residents are advised to run their taps until the water clears if discolored.”
