Montreal’s Ento and Alexander, B.C.’s Rourke named CFL players of the week
TORONTO — Defensive back Kabion Ento has been named the CFL’s top player of the week after he helped the Montreal Alouettes to a blowout victory over the Ottawa Redblacks.
The 30-year-old American recorded his second career touchdown in the 46-16 victory on Thursday, picking off a Jake Maier pass in the second quarter and driving up the field unimpeded for the major.
Ento set up another touchdown for the Alouettes (9-1) in the second quarter with a forced fumble, and recorded a defensive tackle.
Montreal quarterback Davis Alexander also received player of the week honours for his performance in the win, which included 260 passing yards with two touchdowns.
