B.C. regional district lifts last of its evacuation orders for Ainslie Creek wildfire
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District in southern British Columbia has lifted the last of its evacuation orders related to the out-of-control Ainslie Creek wildfire.
The regional district says an order has been downgraded to an evacuation alert for 58 addressed properties in the Coldwater and Patchett Road areas.
Another 94 properties that had been under evacuation alert were declared all clear.
An evacuation order issued by the Spuzzum First Nation remained in place as of Saturday afternoon related to the fire that was last measured at 677 square kilometres.
