Joe Rositano seeks Area F director’s seat

PRINCE GEORGE — Longtime East Line resident and community volunteer Joe Rositano is one of four candidates seeking to become Electoral Area F director for the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George.
Rositano, who immigrated to Canada from Naples, Italy, with his family in 1955, has deep roots in the Upper Fraser and Willow River area. He grew up on the East Line and later returned to the family’s 150-acre farm, where he now lives near Upper Fraser.
The retired business owner and former fire chief says a lifetime of volunteering has prepared him for the role. Over the years, Rositano has served as a Scout leader, children’s martial arts instructor, soccer and lacrosse coach, Auxiliary RCMP volunteer and training officer with the local fire department. He also manages the East Line Farmers Market.
Rositano said his decision to run was motivated by a desire to continue serving residents following the retirement of longtime Area F director Kevin Dunphy.
