University Heights Moves To Phase Six

PRINCE GEORGE – With very little fanfare, Council set the wheel in motion for Phase Six of the massive University Heights project.

“Phase Six is designed for 52 lots, single-family subdivision,” explains Ashley Thandi with L & M Engineering, who is acting on behalf of T.R. Projects Ltd. “Most of those lots will back onto a greenbelt.”

It is the latest example of some faith in the Prince George housing market, as borne out by the latest building permits stats. In 2016, Year-To-Date figures show that 57 permits for single-family dwellings were issued, with a value $15,893,000. In 2017, 54 per permits were issued over the same period worth $20,410,000 were issued. Year-To-Date numbers this year have 71 permits issued, worth $39,017,000.

“This could be a record year for us,” says Mayor Lyn Hall.
