Spruce Kings Show Home Opens

PRINCE GEORGE- As one show home lottery wraps up, another begins. The 37th annual Spruce Kings show home has officially thrown open the doors, and there have already been about 500 visitors from this weekend alone. Tickets went on sale on Saturday and will be available until April 30th. This is the second year the home will come fully furnished. This year, Hopson Construction partnered with Theory Hardware to design and decorate the home. “We worked together prior to the walls being painted because we wanted to make sure that the walls matched the bedding so it was nice to be able to meet with them,” said Marketing Manager, Katie McCutcheon, “I would say the furnishings are really appealing to people.” It is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the organization, and it helps to cover the costs of operation for the team. “The show home is funding the team but also the team brings a lot of money into Prince George with visiting teams spending money at hotels and restaurants, we’re not just funding a hockey team… there’s a community aspect to it.”
