Remembrance Day about Camaraderie and Fellowship
PRINCE GEORGE – This Sunday and Monday, CKPG will be observing Remembrance Day through telling the stories of locals affected by war. Our CKPG News Special “We Remember” includes the story of local veteran Neil Boyes.
Boyes spent 22 years in the military and some of time was spent in the gulf war. Since the age of 15, Boyes has participated in Remembrance Day events. Now retired from the military, the day to him is about celebration. He asks those who don’t attend ceremonies to take a moment to think about those who have served and are serving.
Boyes says Remembrance Day is not only about remembering those who lost their lives, but a chance to share stories “its about the camaraderie, the fellowship, the partnership.”
For more on Neil’s story along with the story of a local Silver Cross mother and the history of the traditions that surround Remembrance Day, join us for “We Remember”.
