Local Mounties Seek Help In Unsolved Homicide
PRINCE GEORGE – Local Mounties are asking the public’s help in an unsolved homicide.
Nine years ago today, Vernon Darcy Baker, 44, went to a residence in the 2300 block of Victoria Street shortly after 6:30 in the morning. He had told the occupants of the house he had been stabbed. BC Ambulance arrived and Baker was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Today, police are asking anyone who has information to come forward to help solve this case.
“We want to bring closure to this case, not only on the criminal side but certainly for the Vernon Baker’s family,” explains Cpl Craig Douglass with the Prince George RCMP. “We believe that somebody out there has information as to what Vernon Baker was doing in the hours before 6:30 in the morning when he appeared at this residence on Victoria Street.”
