Brier Bid Decision “Disappointing”

PRINCE GEORGE – It was no secret, but Curling Canada has awarded the 2020 Tim Horton’s Brier to Kingston, Ontario.

“They had a tough decision to make,” says Mayor Lyn Hall. “When you put your bid in for any kind of national or world games, you want the bid committee to work really hard to make up their mind on it.”

He called the decision “disappointing” but in no way does it detract from the City continuing to pursue hosting other events.

For those who pre-paid for tickets, the refund process will get underway on Monday, November 5th. For those who paid with a credit card, the charge will be reversed. Be warned, that could take anywhere from five to ten day. Those who paid with cash or debit will have to returned to TicketNorth for a refund.
