PRINCE GEORGE – As a result of the construction of a new condo development and utility infrastructure upgrades, two intersections will remain closed a little longer.
The intersections at 6th Avenue and George Street along with 7th Avenue and Dominion Street are expected to reopen in about a month. Part of the construction involved the replacement of an old water main in front of City Hall.
The City also replaced and rerouted a storm water piping system.
Caroline Longhurst, owner/operator of Ohh Chocolat Cafe says the construction near her business started in April of this year. The City had planned to meet with contractors and all those affected by the construction two weeks ago.
