Brier Bid Dead

PRINCE GEORGE – It would appear a news conference set for tomorrow morning, hosted by the City, Tourism Prince George and the local Brier Bid Committee will be to deliver the bad news. Prince George was up against Moncton, St. Catherine’s and Kingston. However, two days ago the Kingston Whig-Standard report a “major curling announcement” set for tomorrow in that community. While a call to Curling Canada would not comment, saying it has not issued any new releases, the Royal Kingston Curling Club says, while it is yet “unconfirmed,” it is “very excited” about it as 2020 is the club’s 200th anniversary.
