PRINCE GEORGE – It’s an important year for Remembrance Day celebrations.
“It’s the 100 anniversary of the end of the First World War,” says John School of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43.
The poppy is worn from the last Friday in October to the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
“It has become a symbol of our dedication to veterans who lost their lives in various wars.”
