Prince George to be a Stop on Winter Games Torch Relay

PRINCE GEORGE – A piece of the Canada Winter Games will be making it’s way to Prince George once again.   

The National Torch relay this fall and winter will include Prince George as one of its stops.  

The relay is set to start this fall in Ottawa from the Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill and visit 40 communities across the country before arriving in Red Deer for the opening ceremony of the 2019 Canada Winter Games February 15th.  

Tom Quinn with the Canada Games Council says ‘This will be by far the biggest Torch Relay in the history of the Canada Games.’
