PWB Announces Plan To Support Reforestation
PRINCE GEORGE – Pacific Western Brewing says it will donate 25 cents from every Cariboo Beer six-pack sold next month, to support reforestation efforts in British Columbia. The ‘Cariboo Cares’ program was originally introduced last fall in response to the devastating 2017 forest fire season.
Last September’s campaign resulted in funding to plant 18,640 seedlings this spring. PWB says the seedlings will be planted in the 100 Mile House area over the next several months by Smithers based Summit Reforestation.
PWB owner Kazuko Komatsu is encouraging loyal customers and partners to support the program for the good of the province. “I have always believed our brewery should invest where we live and tree planting been an important element of that giving since 2010,” said Komatsu.
