Trees In Pidherny Painted
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cycling Club is gearing up for another busy season at the Pidherny Rec Site, with events like the Rustchucker XC on June 24 and the Pidherny Enduro in Mid-July. The club has grown over the years.
“In the last little while, we’ve seen Pidhernuy go from a pretty small train network in the North to a trail network that people are coming from all over the world to see,” says Devon Budd, the Club’s Director for Pidherny.
But the trails have been struck by vandals with spray cans.
“It’s pretty frustrating,” says Budd. “I mean there is a massive team of volunteers trying to make this place great. Every year, p[idherny gets better and better. Somebody has gone through the Pidherny Rec Site and they’re spray painting trees. Up to four, five, ten trees per trail. It looks like they’re spray painting directions that are quite wrong, often.”
