Canada Winter Games Torchbearers Wanted

More details on the Prince George stop of the 2019 Canada Winter Games torch relay this fall.

The torch will hit town on December 8th,  with about 10 to 15 torchbearers carrying the flame about 5 kilometres in total followed by a community celebration.  The nomination period for Prince George torchbearers is open until the end of the month,  and those successful will be announced publicly at the end of September. 

Applications are available online at the Canada Winter Games website. The torch relay itself will stop in 48 locations across Canada.  The flame will eventually land in February in Red Deer for the 2019 edition of the Canada Winter Games.
