Cougars Give Prince George A Reason To Be Excited
SPORTS – The Prince George Cougars arrived in style Friday night to their home opener. Players rolled up in fancy cars to the red carpet leading them to the rink where fans awaited for high-fives and autographs.
The puck dropped at 7 pm between Prince George and Kelowna. Two minutes into the game Ilijah Colina put the Cougars ahead 1-0 and not even a minute later Ethan Browne hit the back of the Rockets net, 2-0 Cougars. There was no change in the score during the second period but Kelowna picked up the heat pushing the score to 2-2 with 13 minutes left in the third. Matěj Toman scored the winning goal for the Cougars and ended the home opener 3-2 for Prince George.
The two teams will go for round two at the CN Centre Saturday night starting at 7 pm.
