PRINCE GEORGE- The Two Rivers Canoe Club annual race is exactly a month away. It’s the largest event of the year for the club, and it brings out paddlers of all ages from across the region. The Club is hoping to expand its reach, it hopes that it will be granted permission by the city to build a new clubhouse at Cottonwood Island Park. “What we envision is that people come down from around the area and have access to the club, the club would be open to all ages and all abilities and at some point, we’d think about having coaching available,” said president, Patrick Turner. Turner added the club will fundraise in the future to build that meeting space. For more details on the canoe race visit its website
