16- and 17-year-olds targeted in latest fatal shootings in Metro Vancouver
SURREY, B.C. — Two teenagers, just 16 and 17 years old, appear to be the latest victims of targeted shootings in Metro Vancouver, say police.
The young men’s bodies were found in a rural area of Surrey, B.C., late Monday.
On Tuesday, police released their names and what appeared to be school photos of two young men who were both smiling for the camera.
Cpl. Frank Jang of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team identified the younger teen as Jaskarn Jhutty, who was also known as Jason, while the older youth was Jakaran Bhangal, who used the name Jesse.
