Police and Search and Rescue Teams Asked to Find Overdue Hikers

PRINCE GEORGE – Two hikers unexpectedly spent a cold Sunday night in the woods, after they became lost in a popular hiking area east of Prince George. With the assistance of Prince George Search and Rescue and Robson Valley Search and Rescue, the RCMP was called to help find two missing people in the Grizzly Den Provincial Park area, east of Prince George.  The family of the overdue hikers called the police early Monday morning concerned the hikers had not returned. According to RCMP the two lost hikers eventually found their way out unassisted. Around 12 SAR members were staged and ready to assist.
