PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George Chamber of Commerce CEO Todd Corrigal, says after months of uncertainty, it’s encouraging to see the Trans Mountain Pipeline project moving forward, ensuring their members have the opportunity to bid on contracting opportunities that will bring Canadian resources to market.

Lorna Wendling, President of the Board of the Chamber adds that it is their hope that the “provincial government will drop its legal challenge to the Kinder Morgan project and stop wasting taxpayers dollars.”

The federal government announced early Tuesday morning that they will be purchasing the Trans Mountain pipeline for $4.5 billion. Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau has outlined that the pipeline will be built as a Crown Corporation and selling it once it’s complete.
