PRINCE GEORGE- Blocking punches, dodging, and other self-defence techniques were taught at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park this afternoon. It was the first activity planned for an annual event that raises awareness for those affected by crime. This year the name has been changed from Victims of Crime Week to Victims and Survivors of Crime Week in an effort to aid the healing process. It also highlights what RCMP Victim Services, the Elizabeth Fry Society, and the Native Friendship Centre offer for victims. The three organizations have been working together for 11 years to support residents.
