Canfor cutting back production in Taylor
VANCOUVER — More bad news for the forestry sector.
Canfor has announced its temporarily curtailing operations at its BCTMP mill in Taylor from June 29 through August 5.
The company blames the move on “a combination of weaker market conditions and short-term fibre constraints resulting from industry wide sawmill curtailments in the BC Interior.”
The curtailment will reduce Canfor Pulp’s production output by approximately 25,000 tonnes of BCTMP.
