PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Fire Centre has seen a slow down in the amount of wildfire activity this season.
According to BC Wildfire Service, a change in weather plays a role in the decrease.
The Prince George Fire Centre spans the central and north-eastern portion of the province.
So far this fire season crews responded to 106 wildfires, approximately half what they saw last season at this time.
