Two arrested in connection with drug investigation

PRINCE RUPERT — Two people in Prince Rupert have been arrested in connection to a drug investigation.

North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says on July 4, police executed search warrants at two residences – one in the 100 block of 8th Avenue West, and the other one in the 1600 block of Park Avenue.

“A 50-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the investigation and charges for possession of trafficking are being pursued,” she says.

During the search, Saunderson says police located a significant amount of cash, drug paraphernalia and various types of suspected drugs.
