RCMP investigate a report of candy tampering

BURNS LAKE — Troubling news out of Burns Lake.

RCMP there are investigating a report of Halloween candy that may have been tampered with.

A parent there says a needle was discovered in a piece of candy. Police say the young trick or treater had been to several neighourhoods, so police have not been able to isolate where the candy in question may have come from.

In light of this news, police remind parents to inspect candy before letting children eat it.

If you have any information about candy that may have been tampered with, you are asked to contact the RCMP.
