PRINCE GEORGE – The City and Prince George RCMP Superintendent Shaun Wright work together on goals to reduce crime in neighbourhoods, reduce the fear of crime and improving the quality of life in the community.

Superintendent Shaun Wright credits most of the safety of the community to good police work, support services and volunteers during 2019.

According to Superintendent Shaun Wright, the core of the public safety function of the RCMP is to provide visibility in the public, to reassure residents that the police are around and our community is a safe place.

This year property crime has been an issue of concern in the city of a late. Superintendent Wright says Prince George is the hub city for the North and police deal with a lot of regional problems at a municipal level.
