Skate for Literacy with the Spruce Kings fundraiser is back

PRINCE GEORGE–After several years, the Prince George Public Library and Literacy Prince George are bringing back the Skate for Literacy with the Spruce Kings fundraiser.

The by-donation Fundraiser will take place at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena on Sunday, Feb.9th from 4:15-5:45 pm.

Money raised from the event will go to Literacy Prince George for local literacy programs and the PG Public Library’s free tutoring program, Homework help. Homework help tutors work with students in grades three through 12 to build skills in Math and English. There are around 35 students enrolled in the program this year.

Skate rentals are available at the arena, helmets are required for those under the age of 18; participants are encouraged to bring their own helmets.
