PRINCE GEORGE– Despite stellar performances from Corey Cunningham, scoring his sixth goal in five games, and Carter Woodside with 38 saves, the Spruce Kings were unable to get the extra point as they fell 3-2 to the Wenatchee Wild Wednesday night in a shootout at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

The Spruce Kings won’t have to wait long before they return to the ice.

They will welcome the Merritt Centennials to the RMCA Friday night which will mark the 2nd and final meeting of the season between the two squads with the Cents winning the lone meeting so far back in November 4-2.

Face-off for Friday night’s game is set for 7:00 p.m.
