Burns Lake athlete competing in Europe

Feb 6, 2020 | 1:25 PM

The biathlon is not a popular sport for a young kid to want to try, but that wasn’t the case for Emily Dickson.

Dickson was born in Burns Lake and started cross country skiing when she was three years old and then got into biathlon when she was eight.

For being only 22-years-old her resume is already extensive and she is still adding on.

Dickson has already competed on Biathlon Canada’s Senior National Team, the Under 24 National team, won 26 National Medals and is a 12 time National Champion, and in 2015 won two golds, one silver and one bronze at the Canada Winter Games.
