PRINCE GEORGE — The last weekend of the regular season started with a tough fought loss for the Prince George Spruce Kings. Coquitlam earned the win, 4-2 at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

The first period was trying for starter Carter Woodside, who surrendered three goals on just five shots. He would be perfect after that but the damage was done.

PG battled, outshooting Coquitlam in every period but struggled to solve Express starting goalie Jack Watson. Carter Cochrane and Mason Waite scored for the Kings.

Special teams did not go in the favour of Prince George, showing 0/7 on the powerplay while allowing a powerplay goal in five Express opportunities.
