PRINCE GEORGE — They stuck around right until the end but the Prince George Cougars just could not get over the hump in Everett Friday night, dropping a 4-2 decision to the Silvertips.
Despite not holding a lead in the game, the Cats often had an answer to Everett tying the game twice before an empty netter sealed the deal. The goal scorers for PG were Vladislav Mikhalchuk and Josh Maser, who also added an assist.
Taylor Gauthier continued his strong season making 43 saves on 46 shots, keeping his squad in the game.
It has now been five games since the Cougars last earned a win. A big game upcoming for PG when they visit Seattle, the team directly ahead of them in the western conference wild card. That game is Sunday at 5:05pm.
