Cariboo Captain named Player of the Year

It was a monumental year for Scott Cousins of the Minor Midget Cariboo Cougars.

Not only did Cousins Captain the team to a first place finish, but on Monday afternoon the forward was named U16 AAA Player of the Year.

Cousins led the Minor Midget Cats in scoring with 28 goals and 29 assists in just 28 games this season.

His 57 points put his 3rd in league scoring.

Cousins was involved in 38% of the team’s goals during the regular season.

He also added a goal and 7 assists in 2 playoff games this year before the playoffs were cancelled due to Covid-19.

Earlier in the year the Minor Midget Cats Captain was also listed by the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets after his hot start to the year.
