25 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C. and one new death

VICTORIA — Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is confirming 25 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C. today, though for the thirty-first day in a row, none in the Northern Health region.

That brings the total number of test positive cases in the province to 3,053 people, though 2,679 people, or 87.7 per cent, have fully recovered.

There are 187 active cases in B.C., 16 of those people are hospitalized, five of whom are in intensive care.

“Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 990 cases of COVID-19 in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 1,610 in the Fraser Health region, 135 in the Island Health region, 202 in the Interior Health region, 65 in the Northern Health region and 51 cases of people who reside outside Canada,” says Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix.
