PRINCE GEORGE–It’s over a month overdue…but it’s finally beginning to feel like summer outside.

With the hotter temperatures, it’s important to remember to stay hydrated. Healthlink B.C. recommends an average of six to eight 250 mL glasses of water or other fluid every day. However, the exact amount may vary from day to day and from person to person as climate, health, and physical activity all play a part in how much water you need.

Northern Health Population Health Dietitians Laurel Burton and Emilia Moulechkova both suggest drinking lots of water on hot days, even if you don’t feel thirsty, “remember to pack a reusable water bottle so you can drink water throughout the day,” they suggest.

“Add fruits and vegetables to your water; it’s a great way to add some excitement to a classic beverage.”– Laurel Burton and Emilia Moulechkova, Population Health Dietitians, Northern Health
