Northern FanCon 2020 isn’t happening this year

PRINCE GEORGE–It’s true, Northern FanCon 2020 is no longer happening this year.

According to Northern FanCon’s website, the event had been waiting to get the green light to use the CN Centre from the Provincial Health Authority. “Unfortunately, Northern FanCon is unable to wait with uncertainty and we are now officially postponing until 2021,” reads the announcement on their website.

“The most important thing about Northern FanCon, and we would hope for any event or convention… is the safety and happiness of the community we have built together.”–Announcement by Northern FanCon

The event had already been postponed twice before, originally to September, and then to November of 2020. The 2021 dates are scheduled for May 7 through 9.

FanCon fans who purchased tickets for the 2020 event have the choice of holding on to their tickets for the 2021 event or get a refund. “We ask for your patience during the refund process as our team is small and working around the clock managing changes that seem to be happening daily,” reads the announcement.
