PRINCE GEORGE—If you’re looking for another activity to do with your kids amidst these uncertain times, the Prince George Public Library and Central B.C. Railway and Forestry Museum have come up with an idea.

Storytime Walk at the Railway and Forestry Museum is an interactive self-guided adventure available through the GeoTourist app. The activity supports children’s early learning literacy development with songs, rhymes and other place-based activities designed for kids from birth to nine years. The walk also incorporates kid-friendly facts about the Museum’s exhibits along with a list of book recommendations.

GeoTourist is a personal tour guide app which allows users access to auto-played guided audio tours based on exact location.

In order to participate families have to download the app onto their smartphones and search “Storytime Walk at the Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum,” once downloaded. Entry to the museum is free over the summer to those families who show Museum staff the GeoTourist app on their phones.
