Pidherny parking upgrades

PRINCE GEORGE–Construction to expand parking at the Pidherny Recreation Site has started this week.

The City of Prince George says that the size of the lot is being expanded from holding 30 cars to being able to hold 40. Crews will also be marking parking spaces at the site to help manage traffic.

The construction of the 10 extra parking spaces will relocate the picnic area along with the existing fence and boulders that border the lot.

The parking lot will remain open to the public during the upgrade, which is expected to be complete by mid-October. Parking is also available in the southern lot on Piderny Rd., which can be reached via North Nechako Rd.
