Northern Interior Autism Society dedicates October to Awareness Walk
PRINCE GEORGE – The 9th Annual Autism Awareness Walk was supposed to take place in April of this year, but COVID-19 canceled the event. Now, it is being revived in a surprising way.
A local Prince George resident and athlete, Matija Tiani, will be running a month-long marathon throughout October for the fundraiser. Five local businesses will donate one dollar each for every kilometer Tiani runs this month.
Event organizers gathered at Lheidi T’enneh Memorial Park at 11 a.m. this morning to make the announcement. The five businesses are Canadian Western Bank, Rivers Edge Services, North Side Auto Sales, Certified Labs, and the Brink Group of Companies.
