Police investigate structure fire

PRINCE RUPERT—RCMP in Prince Rupert are investigating after a fire Monday (Oct.5) night.

Police say they responded to the structure fire on the 600 block of 2nd Ave. West. When they arrived they discovered a two story building engulfed in flames.

A person was rescued from a second story window while 14 other people were safely evacuated from the structure.

Police say that the cause of the fire is not known and they along with the Prince Rupert Fire Department are working to determine the cause.
